Anna Kilzer just completed her first year in grad school studying intermedia, specifically photography. Her background is in Environmental policy and psychology but made a switch into fine arts in 2015. Although a lot of her work is focused on capturing agriculture and water pollution in partnership with the State of Iowa and Iowa engineering program, she is making the switch into a personal project involving religion, race, and socioeconomics. Interest in the Yoruba was sparked when she started dating her now partner who is of Yoruba and Garifuna decent. Marco creates beats for artists such as Flatbush Zombies, John Mayer, etc that derive from African decent and Anna has began learning the art of western Africa to incorporate in intermedia project involving his music.
